Pool & Spa Inspections

Inspections include the following areas:
>  Filtration and recirculation
>  Disinfection
>  ph controls
>  Water quality and testing
>  Chemical feed equipment and cleaning
>  Decks
>  Safety requirements
>  Qualifications for swimming pool and spa operators
>  Lifeguards
>  Management
>  Notification and records

After the inspection a written notification will be sent to the owner of the violations cited at the time of the inspection.  Fees are charged according to page 46, 47, and 48 of the Iowa Department of Public Health swimming pools and spas rule book.  Unpaid inspection fees will be considered delinquent 45 days after the date of the bill.  A penalty of $25 per month or fraction thereof that the payment is delinquent will be assessed to the owner for each pool inspected.
