LCHD-Hospice services are billed to Medicare, Medicaid, VA, and private insurance.

Memorials and donations are greatly appreciated, and are used to pay for services, medical equipment and supplies not covered by insurance.

Hospice respite in the home is funded in part with funds from Southeast Iowa Area Agency of Aging, Inc.

Hospice Medicare benefit pays for medications for pain and symptom control, medical equipment & supplies, nursing, social worker, home health aide, homemaker, therapy, dietitian, counseling services, and short-term inpatient care for symptom control and respite, grief and loss counseling for patient and family caregiver.

Lee County Health Department Hospice is medicare certified.
