Philosophy & Mission
Hospice is a Medicare certified program of Lee County Health Department. Hospice provides care and support to the terminally ill and their families in their homes, assisted living facilities, and in long term facilities.
The mission of Hospice is to enhance the ill person’s quality of life by alleviating pain and other symptoms and by providing physical, emotional, and spiritual support to patients and families. Hospice care may be provided to people of all ages and with any type of life-limiting illness.
LCHD-Hospice Service Area
LCHD-Hospice serves Lee, Des Moines, Henry, and Van Buren counties in Iowa, and Hancock and Henderson in Illinois.
Registered nurse is on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
