Hospice Tree of Love

2024 Tree of Love

The 2024 ornament is unveiled!  Ascend, is a beautiful, handcrafted porcelain oval with a hot air balloon designed by Mystic Images.  The ornament has the year 2024 on the back of the attached card with you loved one's name on it.  The Hospice Tree of Love is an opportunity for you to honor or remember someone in a heartwarming way while helping Hospice continue carinf for persons with a terminal illness.  The project is open to the public.  Individuals may honor or remember anyone of their choice.

Ornaments are $16 each.  The cost for mailing ornaments is $2 per ornament.  

The LCHD Hospice Tree of Love ceremony will take place on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at 11:30am at the LCHD lobby (#3 John Bennett Drive, Fort Madison).  If you would like your loved one's name read during the ceremony orders must be received by November 22.  Ornaments will be on display through Janaury 3, 2025.  Anyone wanting their ornament(s) prior to the holidays may come to LCHD to pick-up or request they be mailed.  After Janaury 3, LCHD will begin to mail the remaining ornaments directly to the person who ordered them.

Ornaments can be ordered until they are sold out.

Past Tree of Love Ornaments are for Sale

Every year LCHD-Hospice program holds their Tree of Love event where people can purchase an ornament in memory or in honor of someone.  Over the years the ornament unveiling has shown the talents of Mystic Images with a unique design from a lighthouse to different types of flowers.  Each design with a meaningful message.

Over the years, LCHD has kept the ornaments that have not sold, and how would like to offer them to those interested for $5 per ornament.  For those that collect the ornaments, the following years are availabe 2006, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2018, 2020, 2021, 2023.  A few miscellaneous ornaments are available as well.  Pictures of the available ornaments is below.

If you would like to purchase an ornament or check on availability due to limited quantities of some, please reach out to Emily Biddenstadt at 319-372-5225.  All ornaments ordered will need to be picked up at LCHD offices (#3 John Bennett Drive, Fort Madison, IA 52627).  No ornaments will be mailed.  Cash or check will be accepted for ornaments.  All proceeds will go to LCHD's Hospice Memorial Funds.

Please do not include an order for past ornaments on your 2024 order form.  Please keep orders seperate.
